Open Home project extended till the end of 2018


The project of the Belarusian Red Cross Society and Icelandic Red Cross Society for support of people with mental diseases was extended till the end of 2018. .

Further cooperation with international partners was discussed on 17 July at the meeting with ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iceland to Russia Sigríður Berglind Ásgeirsdóttir who visited the Open Home social center of the Belarusian Red Cross Society. Visit of the Icelandic Red Cross Society to Belarus is expected in autumn.

The Open Home center was created in 2013. Its purpose is to help people, who suffer from mental diseases, to live more independently, improve their mental health, and mitigate negative attitude of the community.
