Forty residents of Baranovichy at the age of 60 and older will get an opportunity to study free of charge

As many as 20 residents from rural and 20 from urban areas will become the participants of the 36-hour free training course “Basics of Computer and Internet Competence for Women and Men at the Age of 60 and Older”. They will be presented brief lecture-notes and sets of writing materials owing to the “Our Age doesn’t Matter” mini project. 

The project is implemented on the premises of the “Business Ladies Club of Baranovichy” Non-Governmental Organization, selected under the competition of mini-projects within the project “TOLLAS – to Active Community at Any Age”, implemented in Belarus by the Representative Office of “Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V.” registered organization (Germany) in partnership with the Committee on Labour, Employment, and Social Welfare of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.
The project is aimed at promotion of the idea of social and educational activity of the older generation, access to educational services, empowerment of the governmental and non-governmental structures to render educational and social services to elderly people taling account of their needs and interests. The project is financed by the European Union and DVV International – the Institute of International Cooperation of the German Association of People’s Universities, and is implemented in the territory of Brest and Minsk regions during 2011 – 2012.
In the territory of Baranovichy and Baranovichy district the “Our Age doesn’t Matter” mini project is implemented by the “Business Ladies Club of Baranovichy” Non-Governmental Organization in partnership with the Territorial Center of Social Welfare of the Population of Baranovichy District, Baranovichy Vocational College for Services Sector, and the Territorial Center for Social Welfare of the Population for Baranovichy.
