Belarusian – Swedish project will help blind people to be guided by GPS

The new Belarusian – Swedish project “Mobility of Blind and Sight Impaired People in the Republic of Belarus” will help to have a sense of direction using sound GPS-navigation. The initiative belongs to the Brest Regional Organization of the Belarusian Society of Sight Impaired People and Svefi Swedish-Finnish Higher People’s School.

The new application for sensor phones is under development. As many as 30 persons are engaged in the implementation of this initiative, 5 of them work in Brest region.
