Competition to support activities on a bicycle theme

Belarusian non-profit organizations (state and non-governmental) can join the large-scale international bicycle project “Development of urban cycling in the public interest of the Republic of Belarus” and receive support of up to 15 thousand euros (in the form of equipment, materials, payment for services, etc.) for the implementation of their activities related to the bicycle theme.

The Center for Environmental Solutions and the Minsk Cycling Community invite to take part in a competition to carry out activities within the framework of a project funded by the European Union. You can apply for participation until January 16, 2019.

The activities described in the application can be held from April 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019.

The maximum amount of funding: 5,000 euros for applications with one type of activity, 15,000 euros for applications with several types of activities.

Following the results of the competition, the following activities will be supported:

Improvement of the bicycle infrastructure at the local level (installation of cycling bicycles, bicycle parkings, stationary express stations for self-repair of bicycles, arrangement of bicycle crossings and bicycle paths, equipping organizations with bicycles).

Development of cycling tourist routes in rural areas or urban areas (marking and arranging new cycling tourist routes, refining existing cycling tourist routes, printing and distribution of tourist maps, placement of information boards).

Educational work to promote safe cycling among the public (school of driving bicycles, making educational materials, social advertisement).

The selection results are preliminary, can be adjusted by the organizers based on the priorities of the project and received applications. Selected applications can be fully or partially funded at the discretion of the competition organizers.

The purpose of the competition: to support the development of cycling infrastructure and cycling in different regions of Belarus.

Organizations participating in the competition must be officially registered in Belarus. These can be non-governmental non-profit organizations (public associations, consumer cooperatives, consumer unions, foundations, institutions, associations of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs), as well as government non-profit organizations (educational institutions, physical education and sports institutions, children's sports schools for children and others, organizations involved in the education of children and adults; cultural institutions, libraries, village/town councils, city and district executives committees).
