Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus: First grant contracts signed

The Grant Contracts between the Managing Authority of the Programme and the Administration of Druskininkai Municipality, the Administration of Varena District Municipality and Trakai Historical National Park Management acting as the Lead Beneficiaries in three projects have been signed:

  • ENI-LLB-1-003 ‘The Actualization and Restoration of the European Cultural Landscape on the Lithuanian/Belarusian Border’. The project aims at promoting active and sustainable use of cultural and historical heritage by restoring Duke Tyszkiewicz garden at the Manor Estate in Užutrakis (Vilnius County, Lithuania) and historical park at M.K. Oginskiy Museum Estate in Zalesse (Grodno Oblast, Belarus). The budget of the project is ~ 0,5 mln eur.
  • ENI-LLB-1-112 ‘Vulnerable Children's Social Inclusion through Art across the Border between Lithuania and Belarus’. The main issue the project is addressing is creation of a new social service for vulnerable children through informal art education in Varena (Alytus County, Lithuania) and Shchuchin (Grodno Oblast, Belarus). The budget of the project is over 1,4 mln eur.
  • ENI-LLB-1-242 ‘Cultural Heritage across the Border’. In the frame of the project two cultural heritage sites will be improved and adapted for cultural and tourism needs of LT-BY border region: Leipalingis Manor House (Alytus County, Lithuania) and Hreptovichi Palace (Grodno Oblast, Belarus). The budget of the project is over 1,1 mln eur.

Remaining projects approved for the EU funding during the 1st Call for Proposals are in the process of the final endorsement and preparation of Grant Contracts.
