Young European Ambassadors in Belarus challenge peers to promote eco-friendly lifestyles

Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) from Belarus invited their peers in the Eastern Neighbourhood region and the EU to join an eco-friendly challenge on Instagram dedicated to ecological habits.

Entitled ‘Go Green, Halloween’ (#GoGreenHalloween), the challenge will run until 1 November and aim to motivate people by educating and involving them in eco-friendly lifestyles and behaviours.

The challenge can be followed here. Belarusian YEAs involved a local influencer with 74,000 followers. The influencer’s post for this competition has already reached around 15,000 people.

Anyone interested in participating still has time to join in by sharing their tips for eco-friendly lifestyles on Instagram. To join the challenge, use the #GoGreenHalloween and #EU4Youth hashtags and tag the @euneighbourseast account.

On 1 November, the ‘Go Green Halloween’ event will take place in the Belarusian city, Brest. The YEAs will share their eco-friendly lifestyle experiences with 30 young participants.

The Young European Ambassadors initiative aims to foster cooperation and sustainable links between young people and youth organisations from the EU and its Eastern partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
