EU4Youth: free online archive will help socially vulnerable young people from Belarus start their business

An online archive of entrepreneurship projects, prepared in the framework of the EU4Youth programme, will enable socially vulnerable youth and other interested people from Belarus to start their business and expand their professional activity opportunities by providing access to information, ideas and useful materials on entrepreneurship, coaching and mentorship.

Employment of young people from the country’s remote areas is an critical problem in Belarus. On the one hand, a large number of young men and women are leaving small towns and villages. On the other hand, those who stay are not active enough in what concerns employment. The EU4Youth: Fostering potential for greater employability project helps socially vulnerable young people aged from 18 to 31 to acquire useful skills and increase their chances of finding a job or starting their business.

The creation of the online archive of entrepreneurship projects is one more instrument of support and development of youth initiatives. We included in it practical manuals, lists of useful books and YouTube channels as well as recommendations for starting a thematic business. Our partners from the ‘Youth entrepreneurship support and development centre’ also prepared their own video and audio interviews with Belarusian entrepreneurs. Successfully fulfilled young peoples’ business ideas may as well become part of this archive, receive wide recognition and inspire other young people to start their business,” says Irina Strekha, the project coordinator and Belarus Red Cross specialist.

To access the archive, you need to register on the website. The detailed registration instructions as well as the link to the media archive are enclosed. Access to the materials is free of charge and open to everyone.

If you have useful materials to complete our online archive, the project will be glad to publish them. Contact us by email: inaprudnikava@redcross.by or tukach@redcross.by.

The online archive was prepared by Belarus Red Cross with the support of the ‘Youth entrepreneurship support and development centre’ and other partners of the EU4Youth: Fostering potential for greater employability project. The project is financed by the European Union in the framework of the EU4Youth initiative and is implemented in three countries – Armenia, Belarus and Georgia – by the Armenian Red Cross Society, the Belarusian Red Cross Society and the Georgia Red Cross Society with the support of the Danish Red Cross and Danish consulting company ‘Connectio’ in cooperation with governmental bodies and NGOs.
