Care for children suffering from myopathies

UniHelp (former Health to the XXI Century) International Charitable Non-Governmental Organization starts implementation of the project “Care for Children Suffering from Myopathies”.

UniHelp has been existed for almost 10 years during which is rendered support to orphans, children who suffered from heavy diseases, and also to young people from problem families. The Organization has implemented more than 30 projects. 

The new project is aimed at improvement of quality of life of children who suffer from rare genetic diseases (myopathies) through creation, first in Belarus, of the society of medical workers specialized in treatment of myopathies, and education of parents of such children. The UniHelp’s partner is the Minsk City Center of medical rehabilitation of children suffering from psychoneurological diseases, headed by Alexander Yakovlev. 

The project “Care for Children Suffering from Myopathies” provides for a number of trainings for the parents whose children suffer from nervimuscular diseases, and also for nursing staff. Also, the register of children suffering from myopathies, and a web-site devoted to such diseases, will be created in the course of the project. A conference for the specialists, with invitation of invited international experts will be scheduled. Literature on this issue will be published.
